This season of Uthando Nesthembu is proving to be unlike any other season we’ve seen before. MaYeni, who has emerged as a fan favourite continues to stand her ground and the viewers are behind her 100%… well, almost.
Since its inception in 2017, Uthando Nesthembu has understood the assignment when it comes to providing mzansi with quality entertainment, as the show focuses on the unique angle of polygamy and the nitty gritty’s that comes with navigating that dynamic.
This season has not disappointed when it comes to drama as we have seen the wives come to terms with the arrival of Samke Khwela, the highly popular wife number five. The latest offerings saw the main character and head of the household Musa Mseleku unfortunately falling ill and needing medical treatment where he ended up getting admitted to the hospital.
In the midst of this chaos and stress, users couldn’t help but notice Nokukhanya Yeni aka MaYeni’s nonchalant attitude and behaviour towards her sick husband. According to these users, MaYeni appears to be getting her lick back with her husband, as the young ones would say, as he was essentially nowhere to be found when MaYeni had her operation, and her son Mnini was allegedly poisoned. In return, she has decided to play an almost non-existent role as a wife in her husband’s time of great need.
She even showed reluctance when a need to contribute to Musa’s hospital bills came up,

Users genuinely started to believe that MaYeni has reached her boiling point after it was revealed that she left her homestead in Mzumbe, as well as her kids when things got a bit too intense for her. During her time away, it appears she deleted her sister wives’ numbers as when MaCele called her one time, her first response was to inquire who was calling her. Furthermore, some users have started speculating that wife number two has found herself or has had a man on the side who has been entertaining her, as she has once joked about it in previous seasons.
