After a confusing period for Julius Malema’s EFF, the political party has revealed that they have accepted the voluntary resignation from parliament from fan favourite and founding member Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.
The last few months have been riddled with confusion and uncertainty for Julius Malema and his red berets as it saw the exit of notable members such as co-founder Floyd Shivambu, former chairperson Dali Mpofu, Mzwanele Manyi as well as Busisiwe Mkhwebane, some of who jumped ship to Jacob Zuma’s newly founded MkhontoweSizwe Party (MKP). This sudden change led to more uncertainty surrounding the members who were left to deal with this chaos, which gave rise to numerous theories from supporters and spectators.
Julius Malema’s actions towards Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, a member of the national assembly, raised eyebrows for those watching from the sidelines. Many felt the CIC was purposely pushing one of his best players away because he wanted to be viewed in a specific way by the public. Recently, the party’s official social media pages have announced that the people’s bae has handed in his voluntary resignation from parliament, which they have accepted.

As expected, internet users are not impressed with this announcement, as they had previously been vocal about their dissatisfaction with the way the EFF had been treating Mbuyiseni, which included sidelining him from the National People’s Assembly that took place this past December, where new leadership was to be elected. These users predicted Mbuyiseni’s inevitable exit from the party, as it appeared that his views no longer aligned with them.
Some users believe that the ‘voluntary resignation’ is merely a front for the public, rather, they are of the opinion that he was pushed out by Julius and other EFF members. Others have expressed support for Dr Ndlozi, explaining that Julius had become the kind of leader the EFF has always stood against.
The need to specify the resignations were voluntary is a red flag on its own. They were clearly pushed out.
