America’s two-year old Devan Defreitas, populary known as Devan Loves Numbers may not be able to articulate himself well, but he sure knows how to solve complex mathematics sums that some of us can’t even attempt.
The mathematics genius who hails from New York recently entered America’s Got Talent, after one of the producers saw one of his TikTok videos and asked them to enter.
The talent show judges were left in awe seeing Devan’s ability to solve complex mathematics tasks.
A few months back, Devan’s father Duane live-streamed with Kelly Clarkson on her popular talk show revealing that they discovered they had birthed a genius at just four months. This was after they noticed his interest in numbers.
“At four months old, we started showing Devan numbers, and we noticed when we would change the channels and the shows, he would start to cry, and when we would change it back, he would stop crying.”
The proud father also shared that his son’s first word seven, adding, “At one [year] we bought him a writing tablet and we would practise writing numbers from 1 to a 100 holding his hand and saying it out loud, soon after that he was able to write numbers all on his own.”
The talk show host went on to give Devan a maths question which he completed in seconds.
Devan’s parents have devised a curriculum which they offer on his website @www.devinlovesnumbers. The curriculum takes parents through the steps they’ve used to teach Devan how to master numbers and also highlights many other ways this can be achieved.
