The details of the memorial service and funeral for content creator Nompilo Dlamini have been shared.
The Eswatini-born social media personality and former schoolteacher lost her battle to cystic fibrosis – a genetic disease that causes sticky, thick mucus to build up in organs, including the lungs and the pancreas, explains the health-based publication Mayo Clinic. The thick mucus clogs the airways, making it difficult to breathe.
Nompilo’s family confirmed her death on her Instagram Stories, writing:
“Dear friends and family. Nompilo passed peacefully in her sleep last night. As a family, we’re still digesting the news and will update you about funeral arrangements in due course.”
Returning to Nompilo’s Instagram account, the family shared the details of the memorial service and funeral arrangement.
On Friday, 10 November, the memorial service will take place at Ngwane Park, while the funeral will take place on Saturday, 11 November, at Sidzakeni, Ka Fakudze.
