Mihlali Ndamase shares and then deletes cryptic post showing a bruised face

Mihlali Ndamase was trending this weekend on social media after posting photos of herself with a banged-up face and split lip.

The images weren’t long on her Instagram account as the award-winning content creator appeared to have a change of heart and deleted them.

It wasn’t only the bruises that got netizens talking, it was the mention of businessman Leeroy Sidambe’s name. The two were rumoured to be in a romantic relationship but supposedly broke up last year.

Not long after parting ways, Mihlali swiped at her ex while he was living it up in Dubai.

The businessman was seen cosying up to another woman in a series of photos and videos. In response to Leeroy moving on, she wrote: “It’s been chai, my angels. I left that person in October. Ndine peace (I have peace).”

In her latest reference to Leeroy, Mihlali captioned the now-deleted post, “Thank you my angel Leeroy” with no further context.

The images were initially shared by MDN News and had already gained more than 530K views by Sunday evening. Speculation was rife as to whether the two were back together.

“What happened to Mihlali isn’t karma, but the way he treated his wife was a red flag. Cruel men make no exceptions, in the end, you’ll all end up at the receiving end of their cruelty.

“I sincerely hope she’s able to walk away from him for good this time,” commented an X user (formerly Twitter).

Another weighed in on the karma argument and said there was no excuse for hitting a woman: “Karma for Mihlali would be Leeroy cheating on her with a younger IG baddie.

“GBV is not karma and will never be karma. It’s disgusting for y’all to say that. Especially in a country where femicide is rife.

“MEN HAVE NO RIGHT TO HIT A WOMAN!!!!”

An X user shared a supposed exchange between Leeroy and an IG user with him denying that he was involved: “Rule No. 1 Never hit a woman. Do you honestly believe and think I hit Mihlali?
