Popular dancer from Limpopo named Matome Robert Mahlatse Thoka shared a message on his X (previously known as Twitter) directed to the Minister of Sports Arts and Culture, hoping it would reach him and that his plea would be listened to.
The message was a request by the internationally recognised dancer, who has shared a stage with the likes of artists such as Makhadzi and many others, to build a dance studio promising to take the country’s dance levels to greater heights. As it stands in the dance scenes, mzansi is very popular globally for creativity portrayed in dance moves that are usually incorporated with hit songs and turned into dance challenges.
Mzansi popular dance challenges include the uMlando, Mnike, Tshwala Bam, Come Duze, Water challenge and many more. Limpopo Boy has performed almost all of these dance moves to perfection, with some performed abroad.
Taking to his X, the dancer shared:
“How I wish @zizikodwa could help me build my own Big Dance Studio in my own Country.” I promise “South African Dance Community won’t be the same. Help me deliver the message.”

Users commented on the dancer’s post with many warning him to be careful of politicians as they tend to use those they help in return. The message finally reached the minister who responded by saying:
Please share more details https://t.co/AsQ6VlucAV

The post also reached the EFF’s Deputy President Floyd Shivhambu who commented with some advice for his province mate:
My brother you might need to share the details with the leadership of the @EFFSouthAfrica, specifically @fanamokoena and @EugeneMt because the ANC people will not be government in less than 60 days. Even if they were to be in government (which is impossible), they will never… https://t.co/z4iCoOkUQw
