Grief is so random, you could be okay and think that you are getting better, then one day, out of the blue, you feel a wave of sadness and cannot help but to think of your loved one. What a roller-coaster!

South African actress and model Minenhle ‘Minnie’ Dlamini remembered her later brother on his birthday in an Instagram post.

Minnie who recently had her Showmax roast, clearing the rumours of her paying maintenance to her ex-husband, shared a picture of her younger-self with her brother adding Mi Casa’s Banza & Pasty as the sound. In her caption she wished him a happy heavenly birthday.

“I miss being your big sister and I miss my best friend even more!!! It’s been 5 years since we celebrated you in person and it still feels raw,” she added.

“I spent your whole life looking out for you, I guess now it’s your turn and you’re killing it Sibalukhulu Ngiyabonga (thank you),” she concluded her caption.

A user who shares a birthday with the late brother wrote, “Happiest birthday to us [red hearts] … Continue to fly high Sibalukhulu.”

Former IdolsSA judge, Unathi Nkayi said, “Isinyanya sakho [white hearts] (Your  ancestor).”

The rest of the comments were hearts and doves from her supporters.
