It’s been over two decades since Miss South Africa aired on SABC 3, but now it’s back! The grand finale of the pageant will be broadcast live on Sunday 13 August following a five-part series, Crown Chasers, which will document the journey leading up to the final moment Miss South Africa 2023 is crowned.

The series will be broadcast live every Sunday at 16:00 on SABC3 starting on July 9, leading up to the crowning of Miss South Africa 2023.
As quoted by Algoa FM, Lala Tuku, Head of Local Productions at the SABC, says:
“The Miss South Africa title carries with it a lot of hope, aspirations and most importantly, it enables young women from all backgrounds to showcase the power of what one can achieve with the right mindset”
“This is a showcase of intelligent, passionate and confident young women who are carving various paths towards success.”
“To the Miss South Africa finalists, open up new worlds, transcend borders and be the best ambassadors you can be for South Africa,” she said, going on to emphasise that the SABC remains the home of events of national importance.”
