Mental health is something that affects many people daily and many public figures advocating for more conversations around this. Miss South Africa 2023 Natasha Joubert speaks candidly about her mental health and her reign as a beauty pageant queen.
The 2023 October cover star, took to her TikTok page to speak about going to therapy. She mentioned that there were only three weeks left in her reign as Miss South Africa before the final show, where a new queen would be crowned.
She says, “I am so heartsore as I have to end a special chapter in my life, and I don’t know what’s triggering when it comes to answering the question of what’s next, I hope to find something so fulfilling as being Miss SA and what can I do that will make it as equally excited.”

She further explained that with her being Miss SA this past year, she had a rollercoaster of emotions given the amount of work that goes into being crowned.
Natasha’s video gained massive popularity on the app but many TikTok users took to the comment section to share words of wisdom with her.
One user said: “You reigned with so much Grace, it was a stepping stone to what is to come.”
Another user said: “Tash, you have been one of the most incredible Miss SA’s we’ve ever had! We will always support you and be there with you every step of the way! Forever our Miss SA.”
