Nande Mabala’s journey has been undoubtedly nothing short of inspiring, as she exits the pageantry scene, she reflects on the amazing experience that has led her to becoming Miss World South Africa’s first runner-up.
After finishing third in the Miss South Africa pageant the previous year, this was her second time placing in the top three of a major pageant, according to the news publication IOL.
Taking to her Instagram account, Nande wrote, “A journey of a thousand steps that began with a dream of becoming Miss World has reached its final chapter. Being crowned 1st Runner-up at Miss World South Africa is not just a title, it’s a reflection of resilience, hard work, and an unbreakable spirit.”
The 27-year-old has learned more from this journey than she could have imagined, including the value of strength, the power of purpose, and the importance of savouring each moment, no matter how difficult.
Nande also acknowledges that the closing of this chapter is a new beginning rather than the end and shares that she is grateful to everyone who helped her along the way. She is passionate about continuing to make an impact in whatever she decides to do next.
