Viewers and fans of the channel didn’t let this slide, some viewers said “You guys watch this show for these people’s toxicity. If the viewers drew the line early on what they’ll tolerate, Moja Love wouldn’t have been so comfortable with broadcasting it.”
“You shot, edited and aired an episode that displays visible abuse and then you used abuse and violent behaviour to promote said episode. You clearly condone GBV and this little statement that doesn’t change that.”
On the episode Thando Msomi who is the girlfriend shared her story with viewers about how her boyfriend Siyacela Dlamuka, doesn’t want her to be friends with people he didn’t choose for her, and that he occasionally beats her every chance he gets if there is a disagreement.

Head of Channel at Moja Love, Bokani Koyo shared on the statement “cancelling the show is not the solution but lets rather open and discuss issues that are eating away the moral fibre of our society.”
