The news that Soweto Gospel choir singer Lehakoe Tladi was in dire need of help started circulating on social media platforms, reaching local media channel MojaLove who rushed to her rescue.
In a video shared on popular social media platform TikTok by user @JeryMayaJerryMay a barefooted Lehakoe sang one of the choir’s songs she used to lead while looking out of place.
The video’s caption read:
“Please help! This is Lehakoe Tladi. She used to sing for Soweto Gospel Choir, please can she be assisted please.”

After her story was published on many local news platforms including City Press, Lehakoe received the help she desperately needed from the MojaLove team.
They sent people to fetch the singer from her hometown Qwaqwa to Johannesburg where she would be sent to a rehabilitation centre.
User @JeryMayaJerryMay shared this exciting update on his TikTok account in a few videos.
One video showed the singer and her mother getting in the car sent by the broadcasting channel to fetch her.

The video was followed by a series of posts of Lehakoe at the channel’s studios in Johannesburg and a video where a make up-artist was seen applying make up on her beautiful face.

Internet users were left in awe, thanking both the social media user for highlighting Lehakoe’s story and the channel for its support.
Taking to the comment section they wrote:
“I am in so much tears right now. We thank God for Lehakoe’s life,” said one user.
Another user commented, “I’ve crying nonstop ke Lehakoe…but I’m so happy she got help…thanks everyone thanks.”
One user praised the power of social media commenting, “This is the real power of social media! Thanks to all involved in getting her to rehab. We pray that God gives her wisdom and the strength to deal with everything.”
