Entrepreneur Mome Mahlangu let it be known on her social media platform that blood is not always thicker than water after she outed her family who allegedly tried to ruin her marriage to comedian, Tol A$$ Mo.
Mo and Mome had a public separation last year following Mo’s interview with DJ Fresh on the podcast, WAW! with DJ FRESH (What a Week!). In July of last year, the comedian shared that he and Mome were separated and in the process of filing for divorce.
In 2018, Mo (whose real name is Mongezi Mahlangu) was accused of sexually assaulting model and actress Lerato Moloi but was acquitted of the charges in 2022.
“People grow, we grew apart, we went through so many struggles in our relationship. I was there for her as much as she was there for me … I am f*cking traumatised by black women, I’m so traumatised that I don’t want to have a black wife again,” he said.
Mo and Mome have since rekindled their relationship, showing their love for one another, which might have rubbed their families the wrong way as Mome took to Instagram to say the following:
“Don’t let the family you come from destroy the family that comes from you. Those who know, they know! Don’t let your family ruin your family, I just never knew how much our marriage upsets them. Things were being plotted against me for months, now they are so angry as they planned to publicly humiliate us when my husband was sick, but what now?”
The former fashion stylist continued, “The voice said, ‘Be still Mome, and know I’m God, as we let them seek the real God for their evil acts.’ They should not have done it to these two spiritual seeds but kept their distance as they have for 14 years. Just remember, family will ruin your family. The devil never attacks an empty home but God protects his own chosen vessels, just exercise your faith.”
