Reality TV star Mpumi “Mrs Mops” Mophatlane and her husband, businessman Isaac Mophatlane, have once again stopped the sale of their luxurious Waterkloof mansion.
The property was set to go under the hammer after the Sheriff of the High Court Pretoria South Gauteng Division and Nedbank Limited, the creditor, disclosed that the couple owes approximately R9 million.
While it remains unclear how they managed to halt the auction, Briefly News reported that Bidders Choice Online, the group overseeing the sale, has notified potential buyers of the latest developments.
This is not the first time the mansion has been on the market. In 2023, it was auctioned and received a purchase offer of R5.8 million.
According to IOL, the opulent home boasts two swimming pools, a double garage and staff quarters.
The ground floor features an entrance hall, a study, a guest toilet, a laundry room, two bedrooms with a shared bathroom, a formal patio and a wine cellar.
Upstairs, the first floor houses five bedrooms, a pyjama lounge, a dressing room and another swimming pool, all within a secure, access-controlled estate.
In last week’s episode of ‘The Mommy Club’, Mrs Mops surprised viewers and cast members by announcing that she’d be stepping back from her full-time role and would instead be a “friend” of the show this season.
While she assured fans she’d still be around to support from the sidelines, speculation is rife that her sudden change might be linked to the potential sale of her Waterkloof mansion.
