“Ntozake Shange, may your soul rest peacefully be knowing that you wrote a timeless story that carries the pain of women everywhere with so much power! You have also written a piece that holds space for men to become a part of the conversation. We will forever be grateful that you honored your calling and purpose,” she added.
“May we continue to have more opportunities to bring to life, stories that require us to move beyond just being entertained, to being transformed. What a wonderful way It’s been to start the year, thank you God for your faithfulness,” she concluded her caption.
