Media mogul and fitness fanatic Connie Ferguson recently got time to work on her upper body in gym after feeling some discomfort on her knee.
The actress and producer for television shows such as The Queen, The Wild, Kings of Jozi and many more shared these news on her fitness page @iconniecfit adding that she went for an X-ray and ultrasound and was advised by the doctor to let her knee rest for a few weeks.
Besides being famous for her excellent acting and producing skills on social media, the seasoned Generations actress is known for her love of skipping the rope, often making it fun by incorporating fun dance moves while skipping.
Sharing the news that she can’t skip for a while on her social media, the media mogul wrote:
“My knee has been acting up lately! ? After seeing the doc and doing X-rays and ultrasound, it was decided to put it on unpaid leave for six weeks to give it time to regenerate and heal. 2 weeks no pressure on it at all, and then next 4 weeks taking it easy with physiotherapy. Could have been the worst news ever because for me that means I can’t skip for a while! ? But I choose to focus on the bright side! ? I get to take it down a notch and focus mainly on upper body. The pace is very different, but I still get to do what makes me feel good! My ME time in the gym! ?.”
“My focus today was chest, dumbbells only. Started with arm swings to warm up, and then 60 knee supported push-ups, followed by the circuit shown in the video, 20 reps each exercise x 4 sets, finished off with abs and light stretching. Knee or no knee, rent paid! ??? Happy #torturethursday my CHAMPS, ??❤️.”

Social media users reacted to the mother of two’s post sending her well wishes, commenting:
“Get well soon, my Queen. I know the feeling, but the good thing with the fitness journey is that you can still catch up once you have been healed. I know I’ve been there ❤️.
“I know exactly what you are going through. Tore my heel muscle on Monday during group marathon as a result I can’t do my favorite class which is step and can’t go for my Saturday run. But I also decided to focus on strength training and went back to spinning class. There is variety out there so injury should not stop us completely from doing what we love. ❤️.”
