The family of Gospel musician Solly Moholo has now reverted to seeking spiritual strength from above as they have begun appealing to fans to unite with them in prayer.
This comes after it has been reported that Solly’s health continues to deteriorate as he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital. It was previously reported that he had a stroke while in Botswana to promote his upcoming album.
Last week the family released a statement confirming that to give him the best medical care possible, they needed R700 000 for him to undergo a brain operation.
In a new update the news publication Citizen News has reported that a prayer event is currently being organised in support of the veteran musician.
Speaking to the publication was his manager Gladness Tobakgale who said that they have not yet received any updates concerning his health and that the last they heard was when it was revealed that they required the R700 000.
“At the moment, we’re not at liberty to comment fully on his condition, as we’re still awaiting feedback,”
“The last update we received was that he suffered a mild stroke and multiple organ failure. They managed to stabilise him and that’s when they said he would need an operation.”
Meanwhile, the prayer event is said to be one of many events that will be held in aid of raising the funds to have the operation complete.
The details of the event and others are to be communicated soon.
