The late AKA’s girlfriend Nadia Nakai Kandava shared on L-Tido’s podcast her thoughts on AKA’s song lyrics which states that six girls are not enough.
Nadia brutally lost her boyfriend AKA after he was gunned down in Durban early this year. AKA had just finished his 14-track album Mass Country when he was shot and killed.
Speaking as a guest on L-Tido’s podcast, the Naaa Meaan rapper shared that that she got to experience the soft Kiernan at home and had a very protective and caring Kiernan outside the house. She also added that she’s fine with the public not knowing how much of marshmallow he was and his friends were, as they often embraced and shared what they meant to each other. Nadia also added that the soft AKA was reserved for his loved ones.
Speaking of the making of AKA’s Mass Country album and the top charting song Company which features KDDO, the Young, Famous & African reality TV star said:
“I loved the song, but I hated the fact that it said, one girl not enough for me, two girls not enough for me, all the way to six.”
She shared that, in shock, she said to the late rapper, “Six girls?”
To which AKA responded saying: “No babe but it’s not me that’s saying it, it’s KDDO.”
L-Tido went on to ask Nadia where she was when she heard the news of AKA’s passing.
Nadia responded:
“I was at Ayanda’s event. She had asked me to perform at her event at the Old Sands. I had spoken to him 10min before he passed away… 10 minutes later, Azola, Don’s girlfriend, called me on the side and said, ‘Babes Kiernan got shot.'” She also stated that she thought he was probably shot in the shoulder or somewhere as she did not think he had died.
Adding, “The last, last thing I would have thought of, is Kiernan dying.”
