KwaZulu Natal-based singer Naledi Aphiwe announces a music video coming up for her latest song Ngiyabonga.
Naledi rose to fame late last year after American singer Chris Brown sampled her voice on one of the songs in his album. Her voice is from a viral video where she sang whilst she was backed up by her classmates.
In an interview she had with TshisaLive, she revealed that she got $3000 (R55,679.67) from the international star, she then shared the things she would like to do which included fixing her late mother’s grave.
Whilst she balanced her schoolwork and her fame, Naledi managed to release a new song which was received well by her supporters and fans.
The music video is going to be released on the 10th of May. Sharing a video on her TikTok account, she also shared that the video was being shot at Khethokuhle Secondary School.
The videographer is heard asking her what the most interesting part of shooting the video is, “It is because my friends are here, and I am excited that they are going to appear on TV. I am also happy that my sisters are here.”
She captioned the video, “Huge thank you to everyone who was part of the music video – your talent, hard work, and dedication are truly appreciated!”
She also congratulated everyone who reached a milestone, ” May this milestone be a stepping stone to greater heights! Sibonga unKulunkulu (Thank you Lord).”
