The 18-year-old singing sensation Naledi Aphiwe’s dream of meeting her musical idol has finally come true.
Earlier this month, the teenager who just recently finished writing her National Senior Certificate examinations took to social media to express how much it would mean to her to have American singer and rapper Chris Brown invite her as an opening act to his 11:11 Tour, which took place this past weekend.
This after the highly anticipated tour date aligned perfectly with the weekend she celebrated her 18th birthday.
The two are no strangers to one another. This comes as the Don’t Judge Me hitmaker previously used her vocals on the intro of one of his songs, Shooter, from his album.
While her dreams of performing the hit alongside the singer were met with disappointment due to him not extending the invitation, her dreams of meeting Chris in person appeared to be more than enough to make her day special.
Taking to Instagram she shared a video of their interaction following one of his two-night performances at FNB Stadium.
Video footage shows him entering the backstage area, where he is welcomed by the teenager. The two embrace one another before snapping a quick picture for social media.
Before heading off, he later wishes her a happy birthday.

In her post on Instagram, she expressed just how much the moment meant to her.
“He just said he appreciates me. Thank you so much Breezy, for everything. I appreciate you. I had the best birthday ever,” she concluded.

Those in the comment section were just as excited as her. One person said that they could finally sleep in peace knowing that Naledi’s dream had come true.
“Now I can sleep in peace. I’ve been refreshing feeds since Saturday to see this kind of pictures. Now let’s go to 2025.”
