Having already released a few singles and a music video for his upcoming album, Nasty C provided more information on his highly anticipated project which will be released on 25 August.
In a video shared on YouTube by Tall Racks Fan Channel, Nasty, born Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, can be heard saying in a voiceover that regarding his vocals, the album is complete. However, he is still waiting for the verses of his featured artists. “I’ve submitted all my f*cking verses bruh… Now it’s like I just have to really be sure that the songs I’m leaving out, I’m not going to regret it.”
Speaking about the number of songs he will have on the album, the rapper says, “Every time I make a sequence for this thing it’s so hard, like I ended up being in the 20s, I’m like, ‘Nah boy,’ I can’t even do 18, but I might just budge for 18. I want to keep it on like a tight 15, 16, and 17 [for] the most. But I think I’m going to have to do 18 because it’s like for the context of the album you know, and like I said this is one of those where I’m going to need you guys to take your time with it and really listen to it from top to bottom.”
Excited about the album and having shot new images for the album cover, he adds, “For the context of the album, for this sh*t to make sense when you listen to it from top to bottom, I don’t want anything to sound like it doesn’t belong.”
The No More hitmaker also spoke about his musical growth. “I’m on a whole different wave man, I feel so good as an artist, as a person, as a father, as a partner to somebody, I feel amazing man. I’m so inspired, I’m so motivated, so driven, so f*cking patient with myself, so happy with where I’m taking this sound.”
