The much anticipated Kagiso Modupe thriller movie; Losing Lerato 2 will keep mzansi glued on their screens once again as it will make a return in August.
Actress Nefisa Mkhabela known for her portrayal of Onalerona on eTV’s House of Zwide, is among the new additions who are set to join the second season of Losing Lerato.
Initially released in 2019, the second season of the film will be available to stream on Netflix from the 2nd of August. Losing Lerato is set against a backdrop of a divorced frustrated man (played by Kagiso Modupe); who is denied access to his daughter, Lerato. Taking the matter into his own hands, Thami kidnaps her from school to be able to see her; which ultimately lands him in a high-stakes hostage scenario.
Entertainment commentator, Jabulani Macdonald broke the news of Nefisa joining the film as an older Lerato on his X (formerly Twitter) page.

Other additions include, Zolisa Xaluva known for his iconic roles on Code 13, Gomora and Sew The Winter To My Skin; Samela Tyelbooi known for her role on Generations: The Legacy; Nolwazi Shange known for her roles on Isiphetho and The River and Thulani Mtsweni who appeared on Isidingo: The need and Gomora.
Nefisa took to her Instagram page to share the trailer for the second season of Losing Lerato.
