Netizens worried about Julius Malema’s health after photo surfaces online

EFF leader Julius Malema has been noticeably quiet following his bestie Floyd Shivambu defecting to former president Jacob Zuma’s MK party.
When Shivambu made the shock move, Malema issued an emotional statement, saying that the door would always be open for Shivambu to return to the political party they formed together.
But Malema’s sorrow soon turned to disdain during an interview with the SABC.
“I am doing very well. The leadership of the EFF remains intact, although his departure was painful, but I got some sense of relief – I don’t know why,” said the EFF leader.
“It was as if I have put down some heavy load. So it’s not always that bad things will always produce bad results, at times they produce very good results.”
Despite putting on a brave face, the loss of his comrade to an opposition party must have been a painful blow. A photo doing the rounds on X (formerly Twitter) shows a sickly-looking Malema who appears to have lost considerable weight.

 

X users were shocked by his appearance in the photo posted by Sipho Kolanisi with the caption: “Malema must take a break in politics, n look after his health.”
While some responses garnered sympathy for the 43-year-old, others mocked and joked about his political party’s current situation.
“SAn ancestors are dealing with him for selling out SAns to criminals parading as Africans, our ancestors ddnt fight for what ds man is doing, whatever is eating him must be quicker,” commented an online user.
 

When a concerned netizen asked when the picture was taken, another responded it was as recent as the weekend.
