Mere days after US R&B singer announced he would be visiting South Africa, the producers behind “Quiet On Set” said he was the focus of a new documentary called “Chris Brown: A History of Violence”.
The documentary is set to air on October 27 on the Discovery Investigation network and will delve into past sexual allegations levelled against him.
A 97-second preview trailer was released on Tuesday, showing a new accuser coming forward. Chris’s struggles started in 2009 when he was arrested for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna. Following his arrest, Chris attempted to clean up his bad-boy image. But his penchant for aggression and violence always haunted him.
An official statement from documentary producers said: “With expert and cultural commentary layered throughout, the documentary provides thoughtful reflections into each survivor’s experience and the psychological destruction in the aftermath of their abuse.”
Chris is set to perform in Joburg’s FNB Stadium in December. Tickets start at R500. Now that news of the documentary is fresh, one wonders if his diehard fans will splash their cash for their favourite.
