
South African singer and songwriter Nomcebo Zikode won an award at the Trace Awards 2023.
Nomcebo was a backing singer for 15 years before she worked with Master KG in 2019 to release the hit song Jerusalema. In 2020, she released her own single Xola Moya wam, which was the lead song of her album. It received a gold certification by the Recording Industry of South Africa in the first two weeks of its release.
As her career continued to blossom, in 2021 she was named a Good Ambassador for AIDONIC. Between 2019 and 2023, she has worked with many other artists such as Zahara and Ganyani. She has also won a Grammy award for Best Global Performance and Forbes Woman Africa Awards Top Entertainer. Adding to the list of achievements, Nomcebo recently won Best Global African Artist award at the Trace Awards.
