Multi-award-winning gospel singer, Nontokozo Mkhize broke a record by surpassing Adele’s chart-topper single Easy On Me on Spotify charts, with her single, Esandleni.
The recent chart-topper on the Spotify chart is Nontokozo’s single from her newly released album, Lindiwe. Esandleni has captured many hearts, leading to the single being famous on TikTok for its soothing melody and the powerful meaning carried by the song.
The Afro-Soul singer and songwriter began her singing career in 2017. She has worked with prominent artists such as Benjamin Dube, Sjava, Mondli Ngcobo, Naima K and Dumi Mkokstad; before she took a leap of faith and pursued her solo career. Now she reaps from her relentlessness and hard work, as her career blossoms each day.
Nontokozo recently took to her Instagram page to proudly share her latest milestone and praise God for this glorious moment.
Her caption read: “And the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land. So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side!”
