South Africa’s former Minister of Finance, Tito Mboweni, is at it again! Known for sharing some questionable homemade dishes, the politician recently shared the preparation of his latest experiment.
Taking to X (the app formerly known as Twitter), Tito shared with his followers that a whole chicken was on the menu at the Mboweni household. Noting that only three other ingredients were used, Tito reassured social media users that the poultry was not drowning as it was seen in a pot of what can be described as a whole bottle of olive oil.
The caption read, “Today, we are not drowning the children. Salt and a bit of water and olive oil. Yee of no faith!”

Tito’s photos had many scratching their heads in confusion and questioning the amount of oil he had used.
“For the love of all things holy, get an air fryer,” advised an X user.

One user asked, “The oil? How on earth have you managed to live this long?”

Another shared, “Just like trust, faith in your cooking is earned Bro Tito. Cook at least one decent meal and see our response. To make it easy, at least prepare a salad for us!”
