Gospel singer and former Joyous Celebration gospel group lead singer Ntokozo Mbambo – Mbatha scored big at the SAMA’s the past weekend, when she walked away with three huge awards.
The SAMA29 were held at Pretoria’s SunBet Arena the past weekend, hosted by Metro FM’s Sabelo “DJ Sabby” Mtshali and actor, TV and radio host Nomalanga Shozi who also calls herself “The International Zulu girl.”
The SAMA’s are an annual event that honours Mzansi’s talented musicians over a period of two days in different categories. This is also a major event where celebrities, many Mzansi prominent figures and the public dress to the nines, showcasing designer garments by both local and international designers.
This year marks 29 years since the SAMA’s were first introduced to us. The big music celebration platform was sponsored by Dr Patrice Motsepe’s and her billionaire husband Patrice Motsepe’s foundation The Motsepe Foundation.
Ntokozo walked away with Album of the year for her album Lavish Worship , Female Artist of the year and and Best Contemporary Faith Music Album.
Taking to her social media to share the news, the Jehova is Your Name singer captioned her post:
