A loving relationship turned sour as Pabi Moloi’s ex-husband Ruan Adams sues her for a hefty amount.
Radio presenter Pabi Moloi and Minister of Police Bheki Cele both find themselves in hot water as the duo are reportedly both sued for R1 million.
This comes after Ruan Adams, the ex-husband of the media personality accused the two of public humiliation after they “wrongfully” arrested him in March earlier this year.
In an article released by the news and entertainment publication Sunday World – Ruan revealed that in March Pabi, and her mother arrived at his home in a police vehicle.
Upon arrival, police then forcefully got themselves into his place of residence and took him to the Olievenhoutboach police station where he was detained for six hours.
After later appearing in the Pretoria magistrates court, the judge dismissed the matter as there was no case against him.
With his name now cleared he therefore sued his ex-wife for opening an “unfounded case” with no supportive evidence and not meeting the required standards for opening a protection order which led to his arrest, as well as Bheki Cele for effecting the arrest without properly investigating the facts, shared the above mentioned publication.
In his statement, Ruan is said to claim that he was harassed, humiliated, and threatened by the South African Police during his time of detainment.
This, he adds, had serious psychological effects on his life as he felt publicly humiliated, and suffered both physical, emotional as well as psychological stress, concluded the publication.
