Phelo Bala to feature on Behind The Story

BET Africa’s talk show Behind The Story is coming to our screens for yet another season. Taking the driver’s seat of the show is none other than South African actor, TV personality and radio deejay, Nomalanga Shozi.

The adventure-filled talk show takes us on a road trip where viewers embark on a journey with a few of South Africa’s prominent figures, revealing various aspects of their lives that we are unfamiliar with. The guests occupy the passenger seat, with Nomalanga behind the steering wheel, as she uncovers their stories and questions them on their dirty laundry that has surfaced.

The road trips are filled with vibrant and nostalgic moments as guests make stops that are dear to their upbringing or career. According to DSTV, “Nomalanga picks up local celebrity guests for an intimate drive where they visit and explore memorable significant locations and venues together during the interview.”

One of the faces we can expect to see on season 6 of the talk show is reality star and musician, Phelo Bala.

This one third of the Bala Brothers has been in the limelight from an early age alongside his two older brothers, Zwai and Loyiso Bala.

In their family’s reality show – The Bala Family – we witnessed the musician become vulnerable and reveal many of the challenges he has overcome, namely his path of embarking on an ancestral journey.

Viewers were kept glued to their screens as Phelo opened up on his recent heartbreak and his mental health journey.

The Bala Family show revealed a side of Phelo that many people were not aware of, while we also encountered him finding his role within the different personalities that are within his musically-talented family.

Phelo’s episode on Behind The Story will give us more depth on who he is as an individual outside of his family name. Viewers may anticipate an intriguing and yet vibrant episode.
