Podcast and Chill host, MacGyver Mukwevho, popularly known as MacG, faces a R1 million defamation charge for claims he made against ‘Generations’ actress and author Rosie Motene during his show.
The controversial podcaster MacG alongside his co-hosts Sol Phenduka and Ghost Lady are facing legal for what they said about the Reclaiming the Soil author.
As per reports by entertainment publication, ZiMoja, back in 2022, comedian Mongezi Mahlangu, famously known as Tol Ass Mo went on the podcast where he candidly spoke about the status of his marriage with regards to the rape allegations made against by model and actress, Lerato Moloi.
During the interview with MacG, Tol Ass Mo stated that the actress claimed that he sexually assaulted her during the shooting of MasterChef South Africa. He later then continued to slam all the activists and celebrities that supported Lerato’s claims against him, adding that, due to these rape allegations he was not able to work and lost brand deals.
One of the activists he slammed during the podcast was actress and activist Rosie who speaks on gender-based violence and LQBTQI matters in Africa. He stated that Rosie had ‘coached’ Lerato on how to destroy his character and later swore at her whilst speaking to MacG.
The above-mentioned source stated that Tol Ass Mo’s rant on the podcast resulted in Rosie suing the Podcast and Chill host for R1 million and demanding them to remove the podcast from their YouTube channel.
BreiflyNews states that the podcast’s CEO Bala Duma confirmed that the matter would be going to court regarding that episode.
