Family and friends are coming together in a show of support by hosting a prayer session for popular Ukhozi FM presenter and founder of the Crown Gospel Music Awards Zanele Mbokazi, following the announcement of her critical health condition.
A prayer session organised by gospel artists and the Crown Gospel team is set to take place at the Sandton Assemblies of God, starting at 4 PM. The event, open to “all Christians and stakeholders,” aims to unite the community in support of Zanele.
According to ZiMoja, her PR manager, Sinenjabulo Mdluli said the prayer is arranged by gospel artists in partnership with the Crown Gospel team. She mentioned that the public is allowed to attend and that Zanele, who is currently undergoing treatment, might attend depending on how she feels.
“We are hoping she will attend, but it depends on how she feels,” she said.
The South African reported that Zanele who hosts the isiZulu radio station’s gospel show, Eshilo, on Sundays was hospitalised after she lost her voice and breath while in the studio.
In attendance at the prayer service will be Benjamin Dube, Solly Mahlangu, Sipho Makhabane and Rebecca Malope. Metro FM host Thami Ngubane is expected to be the MC for the night.
