After the release of his album Music Theory, DJ and producer Prince Kaybee revealed how “street music” is not for him anymore.
The album, released on 15 June, has 12 tracks and includes artists such as Starr Healer, Azana, Robot Boii, PeeKay Mzee and Pilani Bubu.
On Twitter, many people showed positivity towards the album. One fan wrote, “This album @PrinceKaybee_SA is growing on me everyday every song is my favourite 1-12 no skip just repeat.”
Quoting the tweet, Prince Kaybee shared how he felt about the genre of music he referred to as “street.” He wrote, “Thank you for giving my music a chance. I’m no longer an artist for the streets, I’m in a different space, a different time, street music is loud to me now, it makes loud noise and I feel like I have betrayed the people I started with but unfortunately over time an artist will change. I appreciate you being with me in this journey.”

After seeing the tweet, one fan told the DJ, “We would really appreciate one more street banger upon the new chapter that has already started.”
Prince Kaybee responded, “I don’t think I can ever do that, it takes a feeling, an understanding and more so an interest and I lack all the above when it comes to street music.”
