Prophet Vusi Tladi denies fraud claims, promises a refund of R85K

Prophet Vusi Tladi of Morwaseepe The Planner is involved in a scam after allegations that he disappeared with R85 000 intended for wedding decorations for Londiwe Mbokazi and Puseletso Seleka.

The couple claims to have paid the sum to Vusi’s business, expecting elaborate decor for their upcoming wedding. However, as the event date approached, they allegedly struggled to reach Tladi or obtain any confirmation regarding their arrangements.

According to Sunday World, Prophet Vusi and his team failed to deliver the promised services for the couple’s wedding, which was supposed to be on the 15th of June in Limpopo. Londiwe expressed frustration, stating the Prophet blocked communication a day before the event, leaving them stranded and panicking.

“We had planned a wedding for June 15 and paid R85 000 to Morwaseepe, The planner. However, he failed to deliver his services. On Friday, he was meant to come and set up for the wedding, but he blocked us and never came,” Londiwe said.

In response to these accusations, Prophet Vusi spoke with Sunday World and denied any wrongdoing, stating that he is not a con artist.

“The way things are now, it’s out of hand because they have gone all over social media and the press, calling me a scam. So, I am waiting for them to open a case. And then as advised by my lawyer, I will also respond with my own case,” he said.

Prophet Vusi acknowledged his mistake but claimed he was also wronged by sub-contractors. He explained that an emergency forced him to give someone the job, but the sub-contractors sabotaged him by not showing up.

He stated that his lawyers are pursuing these sub-contractors to recover the money. He expressed his intent to refund the couple but lamented that his reputation had been damaged. He believes the couple should have pursued legal action instead of publicly tarnishing his name.
