Rachel Kolisi and her family were in the country for the World Cup celebrations after the Springboks won the final against the All Blacks in Paris recently. The Kolisis had moved to Paris in August after Siya signed a deal that ends in 2026 with French rugby team, Racing 92.
After fun-filled celebrations around the county that saw the mother of two hit with a ball in the face and her husband jumped by a woman who wanted to kiss him, the Kolisis time in South Africa had come to an end. Rachel and the kids, however, missed their flight due to the time stipulated on the booking.
She mistakenly missed a 12am flight thinking it was a later 12, something that happens to many air travellers.
Sharing the news, Rachel captioned her post:
“I woke up to a message this morning, ‘You were supposed to be on a flight last night.’ We had a 12am flight and I thought it was today.”
She later shared that they were on their connection to Dubai, adding:
“Anyway, we’re on our way to Dubai and then to Paris.”
Rachel was even lucky enough to score an open seat on her second flight, something to be really thankful for when travelling with kids. She also got to be on the same flight as her sister and her husband.
“It meant we’re on the same flight as my sister and brother-in-law, and we scored an open seat in our row! 😍🙏🏼. Always sad to leave 🇿🇦❤️.”
