It is a month before the Kolisi’s are set to pack their bags, leave behind load-shedding and the luxurious African cuisines such as “pap, chakalaka and braai” or “umphokoqo onamasi” (lose pap and sour milk) for a Paris dream.
Rachel Kolisi, who has just recently came back from an international vacation with the kids, reflected on the move to Paris and how devastated she was getting as the move was getting closer.
The family’s international move was announced after Siya Kolisi signed with Paris’s Racing 92.
Rachel shared in a post a picture of herself in what looks like a roof top, or a balcony facing the Paris Eiffel Tower and captioned it:
“Officially our last month in SA before our move to Paris, France. ?
I’m so grateful for the opportunity and experience, but in the same breath devastated because I love SA with my whole heart. And I love living here.
“Juggling A LOT at the moment, and the furthest thing from being ready for a move overseas. Also just found out we’re running into more joy in the visa department ?.”
“I had a great conversation with someone this week and she told me this: “identify which balls can drop and bounce back up and which ones would break if they dropped and focus on those.”

“Powerful advice: “Identify which balls can drop and bounce back up and which ones would break if they dropped and focus on those.”
“It’s mix emotions sad to see you go but happy the Kolisi’s will wave the flag for South Africa ?? no matter where you go…”
