Known for iconic hospitality events such as the seasonal Breakers Brunch which has already sold out for the year, the culinary and events team have carefully curated a range of bespoke family-friendly festive experiences.
Dedicated to celebrating the present, relaxation and looking ahead to a new year filled with hope and newness, each festive season experience will include live entertainment against a backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and Table Bay. The menus will be inspired by brand pillars dedicated to celebrating local design, heritage and Cape Town’s unique landscape.
Christmas Eve dinner
Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront will invite patrons to indulge in a culinary masterpiece on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024, as Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront presents a delectable three-course dinner. Guests will be greeted with a welcome drink and treated to a multi-course gastronomical affair, with dishes like tuna tartare, chickpea ratatouille, cocoa nib crumble and amarula ice cream. Dinner, which is R1 200 per person, begins at 18:00 and ends at 22:30.
Christmas Day lunch
During the festive season, the hotel is well known for its three-story high Christmas tree, which changes colour and decorations each year. After taking photos around the tree and enjoying a warm welcome, loved ones, friends and family gather together to embark on a festive journey through the Christmas Day lunch buffet on December 25, 2024 and a Christmas Day dinner harvest table.
The sumptuous buffet shows off modern twists on traditional holiday favourites and festive delights, and the largest array of traditional desserts. Some of these include a Black Forest yule log, a Christmassy malva pudding and handmade Christmas candies. Live entertainment will add to the celebratory atmosphere. The experience is R1 850 per person with children under 12 joining at half the price and those under five eating with the hotel’s compliments.
The Christmas Day dinner runs from 18:30 to 22:30 and includes a festive harvest table, carvery, buffet and sweetie table at R1 550 per person.
Boxing Day
Boxing Day is a cause to extend the celebration of the Christmas Day before by enjoying a three-course luxury braai and music with a resident DJ. Guests can look forward to a full braai spread as well as seafood potjie, garlic buttered roosterkoek and charred and roasted vegetables.
New Year’s Eve gala
A grand gala will be how Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront welcomes in the new year. Attendees will be dancing the night away to live music, enjoying a delicious dinner, and toasting to the new year with a bottomless bubbly.
