Kwanele Khubheka, the latest addition to ‘The Real Housewives of Durban’, has earned a nomination for Top Female Lifestyle Influencer at the 2025 African Golden Awards.
Set for May 3, the awards honour those making a significant impact in Africa across business, innovation, and the arts, aiming to set the bar for excellence and highlight the continent’s most influential changemakers.
In an interview with TshisaLive, Kwanele expressed her excitement and gratitude for the recognition, especially as she competes against well-known influencers like Mihlali Ndamase, Aisha Baker, and Sarah Langa, among others from across the continent.
While she’s always looking for new ways to expand her business, she emphasised that her top priority is self-care; ensuring her mental and physical well-being stay in balance.
At 30, Kwanele is a mom of four, a thriving entrepreneur, and a social media influencer who’s no stranger to the spotlight. She’s been traditionally married to her partner for over a year, and their relationship has often caught the media’s attention.
When the opportunity to join ‘The Real Housewives of Durban’ came up, Kwanele saw it as the perfect platform to tell her story on her terms.
“People think they know me from social media, but there’s so much more to my life,” she shared.
“I’m not here to prove anything; I’m just being myself. If that clears up any misconceptions, great. This is my real life, not just what people see online. I’m a housewife and an aspiring businesswoman, and I want people to see the full picture.”
