Local street artist DBongz has once again left Joburgers standing in awe of his latest artwork.
The talented artist painted a beautiful mural of South Africa’s legendary Hip-Hop icon Rikhado Makhado otherwise known as Riky Rick. The ambitious rapper and entrepreneur sadly took his own life in February last year after battling with mental health issues.
In the picture shared via his Instagram page, Dbongz dedicated his artwork to many others who like himself have been battling with the same mental health issues.

The lengthy post praised the “Boss Zonke” artist and thanked him for his impact on the lives of young people.
“Having suffered from depression and anxiety for like +5 years straight, I know that it’s a never-ending mental battle and it’s only through God that one can find solace and a sense of peace, although darkness keeps knocking, it has never defeated the light and will never ever!
“The times are getting harder and darker, keep your head clean and your heart pure, and keep doing the best for others. Be good to yourself and allow your journey to keep unfolding. Patience is insanely difficult but exercise it to the core while you keep on working more than ever. Worry is a waste, channel that energy to the positive. It all works out in the middle! Don’t stop praying, if you’ve never, Start!”
“Love, Light, and Healing to you all!” he ended.
