The bright and bubbly TV personality Rorisang Thandekiso is proving to be booked, busy and blessed after she bagged herself a hosting gig at the upcoming 16th edition of the Crown Gospel Awards taking place at the FNB Stadium on 26 November.
For the first ever, the show will leave the city of Durban to relocate to Johannesburg, something the former YoTV star is looking forward to. She tells BONA, “They don’t start small, they come straight to the FNB Stadium, a huge landmark in Gauteng.”
She added, “It is exciting to be a part of that – the change, a fresh start, a new season. I’m excited to be a part of the narrative of the new.”
Rorisang will not only attend the event as a host but as a nominee too as the show she hosts, Women with Purpose, on the channel One Gospel was nominated for Best Gospel TV Show.

Fortunately for Rorisang, she will not be alone on stage as she will be joined by her friend, “big brother,” Idols SA season 8 winner, pastor, and returning Crown Gospel Awards host, Khaya Mthethwa.
“When I heard Khaya was the co-host, I was super excited. We have been friends for over a decade,” she shared. “I think we are going to have lots of fun. We are very similar… so it’s going to be a mess! A good mess, though. I think we are both fired up about our faith.”
The BONA November cover star shared with us what her faith means to her: “The faith in me is the right for me to be who I am. What people enjoy and love about me was given to me by God.” She also shared that most times in the entertainment industry, people feel they need to downplay their faith. However, Rorisang refuses to do so.
She says, “My faith is not a part of my life that I express in the corner, it’s something that I live out boldly. I think it’s very rare for you to meet me and not pick that up in conversation.”
