
Award-winning actress Rosemary Zimu has recently embraced a new chapter in her life by committing to Christianity through baptism.
The beloved star, known for her captivating performances on screen, took to Instagram to share a deeply personal moment with her fans, a video of her baptism.
She wrote, “We have therefore been buried with Him through baptism into death so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory and power of the Father, we too might walk habitually in newness of life [abandoning our old ways]. Romans 6:4 AMP.”
In the video, Rosemary is seen with a group of others, all participating in the baptism ceremony. The atmosphere is filled with joy and a sense of community.
According to TVSA, Rosemary is known for her role as Warona in the Mzansi Magic soapie The Queen. She gained recognition with her title role in the 2014 Nollywood film Champagne. Rosemary has performed in theatre productions like Moulin Rouge and iThemba and has appeared in commercials for major brands such as Debonair’s, Nedbank, and Vodacom.
She made her television acting debut in Wena Wedwa on Mzansi Magic in 2018 and played Veronica in the SABC3 soapie Isidingo the same year.
Youth Village reports that several celebrities have publicly declared their acceptance of Jesus, with reality star Inno Matijane as the most recent to embrace a new life. Some personalities, include Gugu Khathi, Ntobeko Sishi, Bahumi Mhlongo, Candice Modiselle, Rouge and Cassper Nyovest.
