Youtube has become a new home for celebrities, they use the platform for cooking lessons, make-up tutorials, and as we have recently seen trending on Twitter, use it for their reality shows. The A-listers have full creative control of their content and are able to share just enough with their followers.
Bonang Matheba – after three seasons of her reality show “Being Bonang” on Showmax, the multi-award winning TV personality made an announcement on the 15th of January that she is making a return for her reality show and using the name “Bonang B*dazzled” a brand she created when she started a reality show on youtube over 10 years ago.
The first episode was released and it has been trending on social media since, on the episode the media influencer confirmed that she came back because the “Bdazzled” name was trending on social media and her fans needed to see more of her behind the scenes. The channel on Youtube is called Bonang Matheba.
Mihlali Ndamase – She is a local celebrity influencer, known for her make-up tutorial vlogs and ambassador to many products, this influencer has over 400k subscribers on her youtube channel called “Mihlali N”. She is now not only doing tutorials but invite celebrities on her platform for games and short interviews.
Nadia Nakai – The South African rapper used her platform for her music videos but has now evolved to posting content to help her following catch up with her, as the name of her vlog is “Catch up with Bragga”
Lerato Kganyago – The award winning DJ and Radio broadcaster, has taken space on Youtube to share her views on different topics according to her world, she took a short break and is starting 2023 with fresh content about her cooking for her husband.

Lorna Maseko – TV personality and former ballerina has been helping South Africans with cooking lessons and recipes on her YouTube channel called “Lorna with a pinch of salt”. People have enjoyed her easy to do gourmet food from experiences she was exposed to around the world.
