The 28th Annual South African Music Awards (SAMA) – that took place on Saturday and Sunday in Sun City, was the biggest event that occurred this weekend, and celebrities came out to play. Mpho ‘Popps’ Modikoane, Robot Boii, Lawrence Maleka along with Nandi Madida hosted the awards.
From the likes of actress Linda Mthoba, radio and tv host Lootlove, award winning actress and artist Zola Nombona and so much more – these stars put their best fashion foot forward.
Nandi wowed the audience with her four stunning outfit changes as one of the hosts for the night. To open the evening, she wore a red hot number by Ryan Keys, the second dress was sheer top diamante adorned dress with a wide slit skirt by Juan William Aria. Her third look was an elegant princess gown, ending the look with a sheer black dress with a feathery train – both designed by Ryan keys.

Returning after a two year break as a result of COVID, the night was filled with excitement, and promising performances graced the stage. From the likes of A-Reece, Makhadzi, Msaki, Musa Keys and more, the highlight of the night being fan favourites taking home wins.
South African hip hop stars A-Reece, Shishiliza, Stogie T, Venom, Buzzi Lee, Tshego also took to the stage pay tribute to the late Riky Rick. The stage was lit up with Riky Rick’s most popular tracks Sondela, Stay Shining and his younger brother, Themba performing Sidlukothini.
Zakes Bantwini led the nomination list with seven nominations and took home two awards: SAMRO Composer Highest Airplay Award and Best Collaboration for his hit track Osama ft Kasango. This being the hitmaker’s first SAMA wins.
