Journalist and house arrest detainee Jackie Phamotsi shocked many internet users when she announced that she was writing a book, with many thinking the book might be throwing shade to Basetsana and Romeo Kumalo who recently won a case of defamation of character against her.
Jackie is currently serving a two-year house arrest sentence after she was found guilty of cyberbullying Romeo and Basetsana, an act that led to the couple fleeing their home to Cape Town following the embarrassment their family faced from the allegations.
The 2-year sentence was handed out last month together with a R30k cash fine, which the journalist has asked to pay in instalments.
Announcing her upcoming book, the Bare author took to X, an app formerly known as Twitter, to share:
“They will try to use your past to break your present glory! Simply because they have no power over their own story! Never let anyone victimize you because they can’t stand WHO THEY ARE! They are only as bitter as their last self-reflection.”
