It is official, the boys are set to come back and better for another season of the Showmax local series, Adulting.
Last season the viewers were introduced to Thembinkosi Mthembu as Bonga, Thabiso Isaac Rammusi as Mpho, Nhlanhla Kunene as Eric and Luthando Mthembu as Vuyani. The legendary veteran actor Nandi Nyembe also starred as MaGetty, who was the grandmother of the character Vuyani.
Adulting is a drama-packed local series that follows the life of four male friends who have been friends since their university days. The local series takes us on a rollercoaster journey as we watch them take on life with different goals, objectives and challenges.
The series looks at the perspective that modern day men face and the challenges they face as they are on the quest of finding true love and success while also leaning on one another for moral support and love.
The new season is said to be a whole lot more than what the “raunchy” first season served us.
According to News 24 – South Africa’s largest news brand – one half of Tshedza Pictures – the production company responsible for Adulting – Phathu Makwarela stated that the second season of the production will not lose its sense of being “a fun show about good times and brotherhood, with lots of heart.”

In an prior interview with News 24, one of the fan-favourite main stars Nhlanhla shared one of the lessons that the people could learn from the show.
He stated, “I think one of the lessons viewers can learn from Adulting is that men would like to be heard and understood a little better. I think it will give viewers a chance to see that men also go through struggles and that men can also be vulnerable.”
The new season welcomes new faces such as actress and TV personality Nomalanga Shozi, and Obakeng Kgwedi, a South African actress and model who debuted on Gomora as Nthabiseng.
Another member of the newest editions is Gaisang K Noge who is no stranger to Showmax as she was the star of the second season of The Wife, playing the character of Naledi.
The show also welcomes the legendary thespian and musician Thembi Seete, who was one of the judges on Idols SA last season. Another new face viewers can expect to see is Samkelo Ndlovu who has performed on Rhymthm City and Zone 14.
