While the late Senzo Meyiwa’s journey on earth may have ended tragically, his legacy lives on through his children.
The former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper’s daughter, Nkosazana recently celebrated her 16th birthday this week. Nana is reportedly Senzo’s second-born child who he shared with his wife Mandisa Mkhize.
The news and entertainment publication The South African reports that Nana, as she is known, would have been around six years old at the time of her father’s tragic passing in 2014.
However, she is all grown up now, and there is nobody prouder about how her daughter has matured into a young teenager than her mother, Mandisa.
Taking to Instagram, Mandisa shared a touching post wishing the 16-year-old a happy birthday.
“Happy 16th Birthday to my heart keeper,” she wrote.
“God, I can never thank you enough for this beautiful daughter of mine. Her laughter gives me so much joy. Her happiness fills my heart with gratitude.”
“Her voice when she says ‘kodwa ma’ and giggles when I become my crazy self, that completes me. I love you to the moon and back Nkosazana yami.”

While the young sixteen-year-old may have been too young to build an abundance of memories with her father, his legacy lives on through her as many would say that she is the spitting image of her father.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Senzo is also the father of his firstborn, Namhla, who currently lives with his family in Kwa-Zulu Natal, Thingo who he shares with Kelly Khumalo and a son who was introduced to the family following his death.
