Siv Ngesi launches affordable sanitary product brands

by Samantha Mochele

South African multi-award-winning actor, comedian, TV presenter, MC and Producer Siv Ngesi has taken to social media to announce the launch of his own sanitary products brand. Known for his dynamic presence both on and off the screen, Siv is now stepping into the entrepreneurial world with a mission to provide affordable and high-quality sanitary products.

Taking to Instagram, Siv shared his excitement about the new venture, stating, “I have always wanted my own range of affordable, high-quality, and locally made sanitary pads. Today we spent over 8 hours testing sanitary pads from all over the world here in China! I never knew pads could be so exciting! Factory coming soon to South Africa!!”

Siv, who is also the co-founder of Menstruation Foundation ZA, has long been an advocate for menstrual health and hygiene. His new initiative comes at a crucial time when the affordability of sanitary products continues to be a pressing issue for many.

Taking to the comments, media personality Boity Thulo commented, “Incredible!!!!”

Another user said, “Can’t wait to see free sanitary towels for our underprivileged girls and women! Can you make a heavy flow size for a young girl, please? I can’t, and my heart can’t fathom just how our 9-13 year-olds wear the large long heavy-flow sanitary towels made for adult women—especially those who can’t afford the thin sanitary towels! @sivngesi.”

Another user added, “I don’t have a girl-child… but my boy-child can surely learn from you!!”
