In the space of a month, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has gone from being a two-time World Cup winning captain to becoming a national ambassador.
No matter where the iconic 32-year-old sets his foot he makes sure to take South Africa with him.
In a series of Instagram posts, the flanker can be seen settling in among his French teammates quite nicely.
After making his debut last week Siya made himself at home by showing off his dance moves to Racing 92 supporters who were all too happy to have him there.
Meanwhile, it was the most recent post that impressed many South Africans.
Siya recently shared a clip of him and his teammates walking down the stadium tunnel towards the locker rooms while jubilantly singing Mzansi’s unofficial national anthem – Sister Bethina.
The video shows French player Junior Tabuavou greeting his followers while Siya shouts from the back: “sister Bethina!” to which Junior responds “Hibiri” while a few others join in.
Later South Africans flooded the comment section.
One user wrote: “The South African energy is contagious ☀️.”
Another added: “I know he didn’t just say ‘Hibiri’ 😂”

Meanwhile Siya is not the only player from South Africa to introduce the song to his international teammates.
In 2022 former Springbok Raymond Rhule made it his mission to buy himself an entire speaker box to which he entertained his Barbarian teammates with the proudly South African song.

Meanwhile, nobody was prouder than the hit maker Mgarimbe, who reposted the video with the caption: “Teach them my captain! 😂.”
