Former The Real Housewives of Durban star and businesswoman, Wendy Slindile ‘Slee’ Ndlovu recently opened up about why she did not return as cast member on the reality show.
In her interview with Mbuyiselo Vilakazi on his podcast, The spotlight with Mbuyi Vilakazi, Slee revealed that she made a decision of not returning to the show.
“They did invite me back, and I opted out. My eldest child was doing her matric last year, and we’re now preparing for university. I needed to be present and we shoot around a very critical time, I couldn’t be away from my kids, I also needed a break and a moment to see what other avenues I can look into, as much as reality TV is a really great platform for brands and businesses.
“Secondly, I felt like my company was being neglected because since I started shooting I have never had any client because by the time we start shooting that is when people want to revamp their homes, they want to touch up and want to do things, and if you are not available you can’t really make any income, and you have this commitment and you signed a contract, so you have to show up. So I just decided to see how I can balance it, but it was mainly for my child,” said Slee.
She also shared that she did not recommend anyone for the show because she did not want to put someone she loves in a lions den while she is not there, because the ladies who are on the show can be too much sometimes.
