Do you think people on social media owes us the truth? or they can live by the, “fake it till you make it” style?
Well, in my opinion, I don’t think what people post on their personal accounts should be worrying us, people post what they want us to know about them and that doesn’t necessarily mean they are lying.
South African businessman and musician Cassper Nyovest, born as Refiloe Phoolo posted a video of himself saying that social media is full of lies.
He shared that most people on Instagram are living fake lives, the expensive items they flaunt with does not belong to them. He added that they are struggling with Instalments.

Content creator, Ghost Hlubi responded to the video during a podcast interview with L-Tido. He started by giving credit where it is due by saying he respects Cassper but he cannot be saying things like that about social media because he is also on social media but he is doing great.
“I think people should see what they see on the internet as inspiration and in that way they have nothing to lose and everything to gain,” he added.
X(previously Twitter) users took to the comment section to share views as they agreed with what Cassper said.

One user was in Cassper’s defence saying that he was not attacking anyone, rather gave advice to people.
